Jason Jani, founder of SCE, is set to appear on Netflix’s Wonka’s The Golden Ticket, teaming up with Nick Spinelli for a thrilling journey through the Chocolate Factory.
FREEHOLD, NJ, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Jason Jani, a DJ and the owner of the New Jersey-based SCE Event Group, has been named a contestant on Wonka’s The Golden Ticket, which debuts on Netflix September 23. Jani and DJ Nick Spinelli are one of 12 duos vying for what the program describes as a “lifetime supply of money.”
Spinelli spent a decade working alongside Jani at SCE Event Group. Although numerous applicants sought a spot on the show, only 12 individuals were handed the Golden Ticket, with each allowed to select one partner. Showrunner Alison Holloway explains, “The contestants received a chocolate bar, but they didn’t know until the point at which they opened it whether there was a golden ticket inside.”
While Jani was performing at a wedding reception at Tillinghouse at Suneagles in Eatontown, NJ, Spinelli caught him off guard with the Golden Ticket, asking him to join the competition. “I’ve played over a thousand weddings,” recalls Jani. “Every one of them was somebody else’s moment. That was the first time in fifteen years the thing happening on the floor was happening to me.”
This intense reality series puts contestants through a series of allurements meant to test their physical, mental, and moral limits. “As a team, we balance each other out, and we have the ability of working through anything presented and have a great time regardless of the situation,” says Jani.
Wonka’s The Golden Ticket brings back the voice of Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, recreated with the blessing of Wilder’s estate. The series pays tribute to the actor’s iconic portrayal that has captivated audiences since the film’s 1971 release. Rusty Goffe also returns to the Chocolate Factory in his role as an Oompa Loompa.
Jason Jani: Renowned DJ and Mentor in the Industry
Jani is a well-known event DJ and the founder of SCE Event Group.
