The Women’s Image Network is gearing up for its 28th annual celebration of media that champions women and girls, and this year’s lineup brings both star power and a heartfelt tribute to a country music legend. The ceremony, set for Wednesday evening, October 14, 2026, in Beverly Hills, California, will honor Shaun Robinson as Woman of the Year while paying special remembrance to Dolly Parton.
Comedian Helen Hong will take the stage as host, with singer/songwriter Annie Bosko — known as one of Parton’s favorite openers — headlining a musical homage to the late icon. The evening’s presenters include Hannah Love Lanier, Elisabeth Röhm, Baroness Kimberly Moore, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Malynda Hale, and Lauren Bancroft.

An Emmy Award-winning journalist, television host, author, producer, actress, philanthropist, and girls’ empowerment activist, Robinson has long been a role model for women in media. She’s also the author of “Exactly as I Am: Celebrated Women Share Candid Advice with Today’s Girls on What it Takes to Believe in Yourself” (Ballantine).

About Musical Guest Annie Bosko
Annie Bosko brings her California Cowgirl sound — a blend of ranch traditions and So-Cal coastal aesthetics — to headline the Dolly Parton tribute. The California-born country artist has risen from farmer’s daughter to major stages, with Rolling Stone dubbing her an Artist to Watch. She’s collaborated with legends like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and Adele, performing at the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Stagecoach, Rodeo Houston, CMA Fest, and more.
Bosko has also made her mark in sports, singing the National Anthem at major NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, and PBR events, including Madison Square Garden and ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Her partnership with Ariat International included a campaign with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy featuring her song “Honky Tonk Heartbeat.” Her self-titled EP introduced her first charting single, “Neon Baby,” which she performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and multiple singles have since broken into the Top 50 at country radio.
About Host Helen Hong
Helen Hong is a familiar voice on NPR’s “Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me” and hosts the celebrity trivia gameshow “Go Fact Yourself.” Her acting credits include A24’s “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You,” “Never Have I Ever,” “Silicon Valley,” and five seasons of “The Thundermans” on Nickelodeon. A breast cancer survivor, Asian-American activist, and frequent dog foster parent, Hong uses her standup comedy to raise awareness for causes she cares about.

Why it matters: As the entertainment industry continues to grapple with representation, the Women’s Image Awards remains a critical platform recognizing media that elevates women’s stories — from scripted series to documentaries and reality TV. The event’s dual focus on honoring trailblazers like Shaun Robinson while commemorating Dolly Parton’s legacy underscores how far women in entertainment have come, and the ongoing work to ensure their contributions are celebrated.
