Hadji Haunted House returns Oct. 16 with 40 rooms of terror and a $1.3M mission

Hurricane Isaias may have delayed the party, but it couldn’t cancel the terror. When the Hadji Haunted House finally swings open its doors this Friday night, it brings with it a season of scares that has a far deeper purpose than just making visitors jump.

Hadji Haunted House returns Oct. 16 with 40 rooms of terror and a $1.3M mission

The Pensacola Breast Cancer Association (PBCA) and Hadji Shriners are welcoming the community to the annual attraction on October 16–17, marking the start of a Halloween tradition that doubles as a critical fundraising drive for breast cancer services in the Florida Panhandle.

The originally scheduled grand opening was scrapped when Hurricane Isaias forced a postponement, and organizers say they appreciate the public’s patience. Now the Boo Crew is prepped and ready to deliver an experience that blends fright with a feel-good outcome.

Spanning more than 40 themed rooms, the haunted house plunges visitors into a landscape of eerie scenery, unsettling visuals, and adrenaline-spiking jump scares. It’s the kind of night designed for groups of friends to test their nerve and then laugh about their screams afterward.

For those who prefer a milder Halloween outing, the 3D Funhouse offers a family-friendly alternative, with trippy visual effects that provide a different brand of excitement for younger attendees.

But the real headline here isn’t just the frights—it’s the cause. Every ticket sold during the Hadji Haunted House season supports the PBCA’s work during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Since its inception in 2003, the organization has raised $1.3 million for local breast cancer services, with every dollar staying in the Florida Panhandle and going to nonprofit medical facilities that provide free mammograms for uninsured and underinsured patients.

That funding directly impacts access to care for mothers, sisters, neighbors, and friends throughout the region, making each visit to the haunted house a small act of community support.

Why it matters: With each ticket sold, the Hadji Haunted House transforms a night of entertainment into a lifeline for neighbors who might otherwise forgo critical breast cancer screenings. In a region where healthcare access can be uneven, this annual tradition represents a tangible, community-driven answer to a persistent need—one scream at a time.
