This textbook is designed to take beginners to a stage where they can analyse a person's natal chart, answer questions about their life, and provide guidance on how to deal with difficult karma.”— Geoffrey Pearce
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The book, which represents more than four decades of dedicated study and practice, delves deeply into Jyotish—the traditional Indian system of astrology—and its connections to karma, personal experience, and the patterns that unfold over a lifetime. Pearce, a researcher and respected Vedic astrology educator, aims to make this complex tradition accessible to both newcomers and serious practitioners.
Vedic astrology, rooted in ancient Indian wisdom, provides a framework for understanding the relationship between human experience, personal responsibility, and the consequences of past actions. Through carefully structured explanations and practical examples, Pearce walks readers through the philosophical foundations and interpretive methods of this intricate system, making its teachings approachable for students at any level.
The book itself grew out of teaching materials Pearce originally developed for a three-year course. It brings together decades of accumulated knowledge, offering a systematic approach to understanding the principles, techniques, and deeper philosophical dimensions of Jyotish.
Readers will find detailed guidance on interpreting natal charts for both individuals and nations, the nature of karma, traditional remedial practices, and how to determine the most auspicious time to begin new activities within the Vedic system. The appendix includes a talk Pearce gave at an international Vedic Astrology conference about an astrological cycle affecting humanity.
With this American release, Pearce hopes to introduce a wider audience to the intellectual and spiritual traditions that have informed his life’s work, providing a resource for those interested in Indian philosophy, consciousness, self-understanding, and the study of Vedic astrology.
