After years of building a reputation through mobile and Apple Arcade, the New Delhi-based studio Lucid Labs has taken its most celebrated creation to a much bigger screen — and a much more demanding input method. The studio’s award-winning perspective puzzle game, Possessions, is now available on Xbox and PC, marking a significant expansion for the indie team.

Rather than simply porting the game over, the team at Lucid Labs had to fundamentally rework how players interact with the world. The entire control scheme was rebuilt from the ground up to accommodate a gamepad, ensuring that the experience of twisting and turning each room feels natural on a living-room television.

NEW DELHI, DELHI, INDIA, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Lucid Labs, an independent game studio based in New Delhi, has released Possessions, a minimalist 3D puzzle game about perspective, on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC through the Microsoft Store. The game launched worldwide on November 3, 2026, priced at $14.99. Possessions is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so a single purchase covers both console and PC. It carries Microsoft’s Handheld Optimized label and is also playable on Xbox Cloud Gaming (Game Pass members, purchase required).
At its core, Possessions presents a unique challenge: each level is a single room, opened up like a doll’s house, with a family’s belongings broken into pieces and scattered out of place. A television hangs in mid-air, nowhere near its table. Players must rotate the room until they discover the one angle where the pieces align, allowing a sofa, a cot or a piano to settle back together. Across 43 handcrafted rooms, the story of a family’s life unfolds without a single line of dialogue, text, or timer — a pure narrative driven entirely by spatial reasoning.
The technical upgrades for this release are substantial. The Xbox and PC edition is Optimized for Xbox Series X|S and supports 4K Ultra HD, 60 frames per second and above, Smart Delivery, Xbox achievements and Xbox cloud saves, with 15 supported languages. The controls were rebuilt specifically for a gamepad, a process that required the team to think carefully about every button press.
“Possessions has always been about finding the one point of view where everything makes sense,” said Chirag Chopra, Founder and Game Director at Lucid Labs. “Bringing Possessions to Xbox meant rethinking it for a controller and a living-room screen, down to how the D-pad turns a room. We’re grateful to ID@Xbox for having us, and we’re looking forward to seeing players on console and PC find their own angle.”
The game’s journey to this mainstream console launch has been marked by critical acclaim. Possessions was first released as an Apple Arcade launch title. It was nominated for Innovation in Games at Ludicious Zurich Game Festival and at the IMGA Global awards, was an official selection at Cologne Game Mixer in Germany, took part in the Google Indie Games Accelerator, and won Indie Game of the Year at India GDC. The Xbox and PC version was developed through Microsoft’s Developer Acceleration Program, which profiled the studio in April 2026.
For those keeping track of the details: Possessions at a glance includes a release date of November 3, 2026; platforms Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC (Microsoft Store) and Xbox Cloud Gaming (Game Pass members, purchase required); a price of $14.99; an ESRB E and PEGI 3 rating; single-player 3D perspective puzzle gameplay; 43 rooms; 15 supported languages; and development and publishing by Lucid Labs.
Possessions is available now on the Xbox Store and on the Microsoft Store for PC. The launch trailer is embedded below. Screenshots, 4K key art, logos and the trailer are available in the press kit at https://possessionsgame.com/press.

Why it matters: This launch brings a critically acclaimed, award-winning indie title to a broader mainstream audience, demonstrating how smaller studios can successfully adapt touch-based puzzle mechanics for traditional gaming hardware. For players, it’s a chance to experience a meditative, wordless narrative that stands apart from the action-heavy titles that typically dominate console storefronts.
