CableTV.com and DIRECTV hunt for a paid Chief of Cheer to spread holiday joy

Forget eggnog and office parties — the real holiday prize this season might be getting paid to binge-watch festive films. CableTV.com and DIRECTV have officially opened applications for their fifth annual Chief of Cheer Holiday Dream Job, a campaign that turns seasonal viewing into a paying gig with a charitable twist.

The ultimate ‘Chief of Cheer’ will complete 12 holiday challenges to win $2,500 and select a charity to receive a matching $2,500 donation

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, UNITED STATES, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The two companies are once again joining forces to find one lucky individual who will take on 12 days of holiday-themed viewing experiences. The role is officially dubbed the Chief of Cheer, and it comes with a real paycheck.

The person selected for the role will pocket a $2,500 cash prize simply for completing the lineup of challenges. On the final day, they’ll also get to name a charity that will receive a matching $2,500 donation funded by CableTV.com and DIRECTV.

  • One winner will receive a $2,500 cash prize for completing 12 days of holiday viewing challenges.
  • On the 12th day, the winner will select a charity to receive a $2,500 donation.
