The evening celebrates intoxicating songs from the Broadway stage, with stories and style from WLIW-FM’s “Broadway to Main Street” host Laurence Maslon
NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, July 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Hamptons Summer Songbook by the Sea, a live concert series showcasing premier Broadway, cabaret, and American Songbook artists on the East End, is rolling into its third season with a performance by Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano titled “A Swell-egant, Elegant Party.” The event takes place at LTV Studios in Wainscott on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, at 7:30pm, with Laurence Maslon serving as host and co-writer.
Set in an immersive cocktail-party atmosphere, the gathering prompts attendees to lift a glass to some of the most captivating songs from Broadway and Hollywood. The program includes vintage tunes celebrating parties and spirited escapades, penned by Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Noël Coward, Jerry Herman, Stephen Sondheim, and others, delivered by the celebrated married musical duo, Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano.
This performance guarantees a magnum of melodic music, along with one or two tales about Broadway’s Golden Age and a Hollywood twist, blending the elegance of classic cabaret with the sparkle of American popular song. Maslon, who hosts and produces WLIW-FM’s “Broadway to Main Street,” will steer the evening with the wit and knowledge that have established him as one of musical theater’s most captivating commentators. Special craft cocktails, concocted by Maslon for this occasion, will be offered throughout the night.
Comstock and Fasano, whose mix of warmth, wit, swing, and sensuality has earned them a reputation as one of the nightclub world’s most acclaimed duos, come to Wainscott on the heels of another celebrated recording achievement. Their newest CD, “Painting the Town,” featuring tenor saxophone legend Houston Person, secured the 2026 Manhattan Association of Cabarets Award for Major Recording of the Year.

The New Yorker has lauded Comstock’s “expert musicianship and joie de vivre,” while The New York Times has described Fasano as “a lyrically sensitive interpreter” and called the duo “smart, funny, and utterly delightful.” Their fast-moving concerts draw from an ever-changing American Songbook, spanning jazz and pop standards by Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen, and Cole Porter to singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Carole King, and Bruce Springsteen.
Recipients of ten MAC Awards, five New York Bistro Awards, and the New York Nightlife Award, Comstock and Fasano have also received the Donald F. Laurence Maslon is the host and producer of the local radio program, Broadway to Main Street, heard every Sunday afternoon for over fifteen years on the NPR radio station WLIW-FM. The program is winner of the 2019 ASCAP Foundation/Deems Taylor Award for Radio Broadcast.
