Indie author behind Robert Anthony Books grows from one 2022 release to six novels, multiple crime series, and a seventh project now in the works.

Following a career defined by the intense pressures of Wall Street negotiations, Anthony Eddolls made an unexpected pivot: relocating to Upcountry Maui and forging a fresh path as an independent crime fiction writer. What started with the launch of Crossing Over in 2022 has since grown into an expanding collection released through his own imprint, Robert Anthony Books LLC. Four years on, Eddolls has six published books, a finished trilogy, several recurring characters and plotlines, and a seventh novel in the pipeline, slated for a November 2026 debut. This trajectory signals a shift that Eddolls feels is becoming harder to brush off as merely a secondary career or a personal side project.

“I began with one book and a story I wanted to tell,” Eddolls stated. “Now, with six titles out and another underway, I’m creating something far bigger. My emphasis is on continuing to craft compelling characters and narratives that give readers a reason to return for the next installment.”

Eddolls operates in the crime and thriller genre, weaving tales centered on investigations, peril, global intrigue, and characters navigating high-stakes environments. His expanding portfolio includes the Special Agent Elliott Murphy Adventures and the Special Agent David Stilley Adventures. The Elliott Murphy series kicked off with Crossing Over and has grown to include additional works like The Final Cross. Eddolls has also pushed forward his fictional world through the David Stilley adventures, while exploring fresh stories and series concepts for future releases.

Across his books, Eddolls has gathered roughly 350 Amazon reader ratings, averaging about 4.3 stars—a encouraging sign for an indie author building an audience one title at a time. His work targets readers who appreciate the pacing, suspense, international scope, and recurring protagonists typical of modern crime and thriller fiction. Eddolls cites bestselling authors like Daniel Silva and David Baldacci as examples of the larger genre he works within, while developing his own characters, settings, and voice.

Behind the expanding catalog lies an equally notable personal reinvention. Trading the finance sector for life in Kula, Hawaii, Eddolls has approached publishing with an entrepreneurial mindset. Instead of treating each novel as a standalone effort, he has steadily built Robert Anthony Books into an independent publishing platform—revising earlier works, releasing new editions and covers, crafting interconnected series, and fostering a direct connection with readers.

That momentum accelerated during the summer of 2026, when Eddolls finished and published two new novels while also revising and updating four previous books and replacing covers across his catalog. The result is a body of work that looks markedly different from where it stood four years ago.

For Eddolls, however, the six books already out are just the foundation. Work progresses on book seven, with a November release expected, and another series is in development. The forward strategy is to keep expanding the catalog while introducing more readers to the characters and stories that have emerged from Robert Anthony Books.

Anthony Eddolls is an independent crime fiction author and the founder of Robert Anthony Books LLC. After a career in Wall Street dealmaking, Eddolls relocated to Upcountry Maui and shifted his focus to writing and independent publishing. Since releasing Crossing Over in 2022, he has built a catalog of six published titles spanning multiple crime fiction series, with a seventh book currently in progress.

He lives and writes in Kula, Hawaii.
