Your next “Obsession” has arrived.
One of this year’s most talked-about horror films is now available on Peacock. “Obsession,” helmed by Curry Barker—a 26-year-old filmmaker who started as a YouTuber—premieres on the NBC-owned streaming service as of today, July 17.
Thus far in 2026, “Obsession” has proven to be one of the year’s biggest box office triumphs, pulling in over $428 million globally against a production cost of just $750,000. Even with its streaming debut, the film remains in theaters.
The story centers on Bear (Michael Johnston), who snaps the mysterious ‘One Wish Willow’ and asks for his crush, Nikki (Inde Navarette), to fall for him. He gets exactly what he wanted, but soon learns that desires often carry a dark and dangerous cost.
When does ‘Obsession’ come out on Peacock?
