Independent filmmaking gets a major spotlight moment this November when a mother-daughter production team brings their debut feature to Beverly Hills — and a digital platform with a new PR division is making sure the night gets the coverage it deserves.

The duo of Sherrie Richards and Victoria Richards, a mother-daughter team, are behind the comedy feature that will premiere with full red-carpet treatment.

Hot in Hollywood TV’s production crew — Tyrone Jackson, Kayla Simone, and Veronica Ocasio — will handle the event’s red-carpet production.

We’re all very excited to be collaborating as members of the Black Hollywood community”— HIHTV Executive Producer Tyrone Jackson
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 22, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Hot in Hollywood TV (HIHTV), a digital media and streaming platform that recently launched a public relations division, focuses its coverage on urban entertainment, film, television, and celebrity culture. The company will produce the red-carpet premiere of the comedy ‘Search Party: Where’s PawPaw?’ on November 9, 2026, at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills, California.
The evening will shine a light on the film’s creative team, with celebrities, actors, filmmakers, recording artists, influencers, and industry leaders all expected to attend for a night celebrating creativity, collaboration, and Black entertainment. Creator and Executive Producer of Hot in Hollywood TV Tyrone Jackson shares his enthusiasm: “We’re all very excited to be collaborating as members of the Black Hollywood community.”
At the heart of Search Party: Where’s PawPaw? is college student Noble Williams, who hurries home after learning her beloved grandfather, PawPaw, has taken a sudden turn for the worse. When he vanishes from his nursing home, Noble teams up with her two closest friends and her eccentric Aunt MeekMeek to track him down.
The search that follows spirals into a hilariously unpredictable journey packed with strange encounters, odd clues, and comedic chaos as the group races against time to get PawPaw back. With humor inspired by the early 2000s and heartfelt themes around family and friendship, the film offers a feel-good comedy about the lengths people will go to for those they love.
The cast includes Victoria Monai Richards, Nijah Brenea, Daisy Fernandez, Tichina Arnold, and Tommy Davidson, along with some of Hollywood’s emerging talent. Victoria Richards steps into a major milestone as producer, director, and star of her first feature film. The November 9 premiere will honor the determination it took to build an original project outside the traditional studio system.
The film also represents a shared achievement for Richards and her mother, Sherrie Richards, who serves as Executive Producer. Together they co-wrote the screenplay and co-founded Faith+Works Productions, the family-run company behind the movie. Their mother-daughter collaboration brings a refreshing angle to independent filmmaking, showing that family and a unified creative vision can produce something remarkable.
Hot in Hollywood TV founder and executive producer Tyrone Jackson is broadening the film’s reach through original programming, celebrity interviews, entertainment coverage, and red-carpet production. While the platform connects audiences with the people and projects shaping entertainment, its red-carpet work allows HIHTV to take a more hands-on role in celebrating independent productions during a pivotal moment in the industry. “At Hot in Hollywood TV, we’re not just watching the entertainment industry evolve—we’re helping to shape it,” says Jackson. He adds, “There’s incredible talent out there with powerful stories that deserve to be told, and we’re passionate about bringing those stories to the world.”
Producer Terrah B. Smith is orchestrating the November 9 premiere alongside HIHTV producer and publicist Veronica Ocasio and publicist Kayla Simone. Together, at Hollywood Publicity and PR, they are crafting a celebratory event designed to spotlight the entire creative team. This red carpet promises to be an unforgettable affair.
