Topping the auction is Tony Manero’s (John Travolta) famous white three-piece suit from Saturday Night Fever (1977) (est. $200,000–$400,000), which Travolta wore during the film’s memorable disco contest and appears in many of its most iconic promotional photos. Regarded as one of cinema’s most recognizable costumes, the suit later belonged to legendary film critic Gene Siskel and includes a handwritten inscription from Travolta.
Another featured piece is the primary costume for Frank the Rabbit (James Duval) from Donnie Darko (2001) (est. $100,000–$200,000). Marking the cult classic’s 25th anniversary, this eerie outfit is being offered at public auction for the first time, having previously been displayed at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
Also among the top lots is the screen-matched mosquito in amber fossil from the opening scene of Jurassic Park (1993) (est. $100,000–$200,000). This fossil, verified as matching the film’s iconic start, represents the scientific discovery that triggered the events of Spielberg’s groundbreaking blockbuster.
