A Story for Young Readers
Nyong’o’s new children’s book builds on the success of her earlier published work, Sulwe, which addressed themes of colorism and self-acceptance through a magical narrative. The new book, aimed at slightly older readers, tells the story of a young girl who discovers that her grandmother’s folktales contain clues to a real treasure hidden in their Kenyan village.
