The International Awards Associate has thrown open the doors for the 2027 MUSE Creative Awards and MUSE Design Awards, and this year’s guiding theme asks entrants to think differently about how they work. With the twin programs now accepting submissions, the organization is pushing creatives worldwide to question their own processes rather than simply chasing the next trend.

The 2027 MUSE Creative Awards and MUSE Design Awards are now open for submissions, inviting professionals, designers, agencies, studios, brands worldwide.
At the heart of this cycle is the concept of “Reimagine Craft,” a call for participants to revisit how ideas take shape, get tested, and ultimately reach refinement. The theme challenges the notion that creativity follows a fixed playbook, instead suggesting that the strongest output emerges when familiar workflows are examined with fresh eyes.
Both programs, presented by the International Awards Associate (IAA), share this 2027 focus. The message to entrants is clear: meet the shifting creative and design terrain with curiosity and intention, paying renewed attention to the journey from initial concept to finished work. The tagline says it succinctly: “Reimagine the Process. Refine the Possibility.”
As new tools, formats, materials, and methods reshape how audiences consume and experience creative work, the competition wants to honor those who adapt without sacrificing the fundamentals. The invitation extends beyond simply following new directions; it’s about strengthening outcomes and producing work that earns international acclaim through originality and precise execution.
“Craft is not fixed; it evolves as people, tools, materials, and expectations change,” said Thomas Brandt, spokesperson of the International Awards Associate (IAA). “Reimagine Craft invites creators and designers to look again at how ideas are shaped, tested, and refined. The strongest work does not pursue change for novelty alone; it uses new possibilities with purpose and turns them into something clear, relevant, memorable, and meaningful.”
The two awards programs operate as complementary tracks for how ideas reach the world. The MUSE Creative Awards focuses on communication-driven work—strategy expressed through storytelling, media, and experience. The MUSE Design Awards, by contrast, celebrates concepts manifested in tangible form: products, spaces, systems, and environments defined by function and problem-solving. Together, they honor teams who turn briefs into possibilities and research into direction, shaping how audiences encounter brands, content, and physical spaces.
Even the trophy for 2027 embodies the theme. The MUSE Statuette merges classical artistry with contemporary expression, from the poised figure and intricately sculpted gown to the floral details and luminous architectural forms surrounding her. Every element of the statuette speaks to the imagination and precision behind standout creative work, celebrating those who reconsider familiar approaches and refine ideas with purpose.
Eligibility for the 2027 competition is broad, welcoming agencies, brands, studios, production companies, marketing teams, designers, architects, manufacturers, developers, independent professionals, and organizations from around the globe. Those looking to get a head start should note the Early Bird Deadline on November 19, 2026, with the Final Extension Deadline set for February 25, 2027. Winners will be announced on April 16, 2027.

The MUSE Creative Awards has established itself as an international advertising awards program recognizing excellence in advertising, branding, digital media, marketing, video, social media, branded content, and experiential communications. Its sibling program, the MUSE Design Awards, honors achievement across architecture, interiors, products, packaging, lighting, landscape, fashion, and transportation. The International Awards Associate, founded in 2015, also runs the Vega Digital Awards, NYX Awards, and TITAN Business Awards.
Why it matters: As creative industries grapple with rapid technological change, competitions like MUSE are setting the benchmark for what counts as meaningful innovation. The emphasis on purposeful refinement over novelty for its own sake offers a useful yardstick for professionals navigating an increasingly crowded and fast-moving landscape.
