Power Star Entertainment pits seven women outlaws against railroad corruption in ‘Outlaws Untold

Hollywood’s appetite for fresh Westerns just found a distinctly female-driven entry: Power Star Entertainment has taken the wraps off a film treatment that turns seven grieving homesteaders into a frontier resistance squad. The project, titled “Outlaws Untold: A Reckoning on the Wyoming Frontier,” arrives with a built-in literary pedigree and an open call for studio partners.

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Power Star Entertainment’s International Creative THINK TANK has officially introduced “Outlaws Untold: A Reckoning on the Wyoming Frontier,” a Western action-thriller film treatment built around seven women who turn to outlawry as a last stand against a railroad’s pattern of corruption, violence and forced displacement.

Drawing from a manuscript penned by Dakota Joe Chauncey, PC Matheson and Nick Bronze, the project repositions the classic frontier narrative through a women-led lens, set against a backdrop of railroad expansion, political maneuvering and law enforcement that answers to the highest bidder. The source material is currently being developed alongside Houston Book Publishing, and Power Star Entertainment has put out the word to studios and producers interested in carrying the story from page to screen.

The action unfolds in Wyoming Territory in 1880, where homesteader Clara Voss loses everything—her husband, her property and her belief in the justice system—when the Sweetgrave Railroad deploys forged deeds, bought-off officials and armed enforcers to push families off their land. Rather than accept defeat, she bands together with six other women, each carrying their own scars and losses, and together they become known as the Sweetgrave Seven.

Their first major strike targets a payroll train filled with cash meant to underwrite mass evictions. The women redistribute those funds to families on the brink of removal, but a locked dispatch case yields something far more explosive: documented proof of fraudulent land transfers, concealed homicides and officials actively serving the railroad’s agenda.

What starts as a single act of rebellion escalates into a full-scale effort to dig up a conspiracy that threatens entire settlements. The Seven intercept property registries, confiscate weapons meant for company troops and publicly challenge corrupt authorities—prompting the railroad to strike back with private soldiers, paid informants and fabricated arrest warrants. The attempt to paint them as bloodthirsty criminals pushes both their survival instincts and their loyalty to the brink.

Hot on their trail is Marshal Jonah Creed, a former ally of Clara’s with a complicated romantic past. Creed once believed his badge could hold back the tide of abuse, but as he investigates, he starts to realize the orders, the superiors and the warrants against Clara are all stained by the same corruption. His pursuit becomes a reckoning with the difference between enforcing the law and serving true justice.

The tension crests in a high-stakes operation aboard the heavily guarded Red Mesa Express, barreling through a blizzard. With the evidence of the conspiracy hanging in the balance, the Seven have to pool their talents in strategy, infiltration, telegraph communications, medical care and combat. Clara and Jonah each face decisions that may ultimately decide whether the truth ever sees the light of day.

Beyond the action, the treatment digs into the human toll of westward expansion, showing characters whose resistance comes with real personal costs. The women’s alliance is tested by disagreement, sacrifice and shared accountability, placing their choices at the heart of a story about land, power and who gets to write the history of the American West.

Why it matters: This project signals a continued industry appetite for Westerns that subvert the genre’s traditional male-centric archetypes, potentially opening doors for more female-led frontier stories. By pairing a literary adaptation with an explicit invitation for studio collaboration, Power Star Entertainment is positioning itself as a creative incubator for commercially viable, socially resonant material.
