The 2026 Cannes Film Festival delivered yet another landmark moment when the women’s health documentary sHEALed premiered to a standing-room-only audience at Cineum Cannes. The screening anchored a multi-day activation that brought together more than 250 physicians, scientists, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, journalists, and wellness leaders from around the world.
Produced by Lolli Brands Entertainment and co-produced by health expert JJ Virgin, sHEALed features over 50 physicians, researchers, and wellness practitioners exploring critical dimensions of women’s health. The documentary covers topics ranging from hormonal balance and metabolic health to trauma recovery, fertility, menopause, and longevity science. A global release on Amazon Prime is scheduled for later in 2026.
The Cannes activation extended well beyond the screening itself. Programming combined documentary storytelling with live media production and educational health discussions across three packed days on the French Riviera. The Global Podcast Pavilion, hosted at a private Mediterranean waterfront villa, saw a dozen live podcast productions recording expert interviews in real time.
Anthony Lolli, founder and CEO of Biohack Yourself Media, described the event as an effort to “create a space where doctors, filmmakers, and innovators could connect.” His co-founder TereZa Lolli added that the response to the documentary demonstrated “how powerful it is when credible experts share work through storytelling.”
Following the world premiere, an exclusive beachfront reception was held at La Plage du Martinez, further cementing the event as one of the festival’s most talked-about sideline experiences.
Perhaps the most significant announcement to emerge from the Cannes presence was the introduction of HNN, the Health News Network — a new expert-driven streaming platform that gives physicians direct ownership of their educational content. The platform aims to reshape how health information reaches the public, putting control in the hands of the medical professionals themselves rather than media intermediaries.
sHEALed represents a growing trend in documentary filmmaking that merges health advocacy with cinematic storytelling. As the wellness documentary space continues to expand, films like this are finding receptive audiences at major international festivals, signaling that audiences are hungry for content that informs as much as it entertains.
The documentary’s Amazon Prime release date has not yet been announced, but based on the Cannes reception, expectations are high for a strong debut on the streaming platform.
