The collaboration originated from an introduction at Mumbai Tech Week 2026 and will provide KathaNepal’s client base across Nepal with access to Storia’s production pipeline.
There is a lot of interest in AI video among clients here in Nepal, but very little clarity on how it actually gets made to a standard a brand can run with. That is the gap this partnership addresses.”— Manoj Pandey, Founder, KathaNepal
Storia Films, an AI film production company, and KathaNepal, a creative and advertising agency based in Nepal, have announced a strategic partnership to serve clients across the country. Under this arrangement, KathaNepal will serve as Storia’s market partner in Nepal, while Storia will provide AI-driven film production for projects commissioned through the agency.
This partnership gives Nepali brands and organisations access to a production workflow specifically built for AI-generated visual content, covering creative direction, shot development, continuity, editing, colour, and sound. For Storia, which is headquartered in Belgium and operates in the UK, Switzerland, and India, this collaboration marks its first structured entry into the Nepali market.
Manoj Pandey, founder of KathaNepal, reached out to Storia’s Head of Creative, Reghu Shanker, after a Storia Showcase presentation at Mumbai Tech Week 2026. Discussions continued over the following weeks, and the two sides eventually agreed on a working framework.
“What stood out in Mumbai was that Storia was not talking about AI as a novelty,” said Manoj Pandey, Founder, KathaNepal. “There is a lot of interest in AI video among clients here in Nepal, but very little clarity on how it actually gets made to a standard a brand can run with. That is the gap this partnership addresses. We understand the Nepali market and its audiences; Storia brings the production system.”
Under this collaboration, KathaNepal will manage client relationships, market context, and campaign strategy in Nepal, while Storia will oversee production. Both teams will work together on creative development. The companies stated that the first projects from this partnership are expected to commence in August 2026.
“Nepal has a strong storytelling culture and a market that is moving quickly,” said Reghu Shanker, Head of Creative, Storia Films. “Manoj and his team already know what works for audiences there, which is the part you cannot shortcut. Our job is to make sure that when a film is made with AI, it still holds up as a film – direction, consistency, craft, all of it. Working with a local partner is the only sensible way to do that in a new market.”
