A low-budget World War II thriller shot in under two weeks in North Texas is about to get its moment on the big screen — and it highlights a growing trend of independent filmmakers bypassing traditional distribution to connect directly with audiences.

The inaugural Addison Full Circle Film Festival is putting audience engagement at the center of its mission.

ADDISON, TX, UNITED STATES, October 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — A gripping wartime thriller, shot across North Texas in just 11 days, is set to premiere before a live audience at the debut Addison Full Circle Film Festival. INTO BLACK, helmed by writer-director Brad Osborne and produced by Dallas-based AMS Pictures, takes the stage Saturday, November 7, from 6-8 p.m., featuring both the film and an interactive Q&A session at the Addison Performing Arts Centre.
The screening anchors the two-day festival running November 7-8, organized by Full Circle Films in partnership with the venue. I Am A Fan leads as title sponsor, with NHuS3 Media and Howdywood also backing the event.
Transporting viewers to the London Blitz, INTO BLACK chronicles four women trapped inside an abandoned warehouse while bombs fall outside and a menacing killer lurks within. The narrative draws inspiration from the real-life Blackout Ripper, though the characters and events are fictional creations.
AMS Pictures reports the entire production came together for under $100,000, using locations in Dallas and Corsicana. A deserted South Dallas industrial complex stood in for wartime London, with careful period styling, candlelit scenes, and layered sound design crafting the illusion of a world beyond the warehouse walls.
For festival-goers, the screening offers a rare chance to experience the film theatrically and gain insight into its creation straight from the filmmakers. Those unable to attend can catch INTO BLACK digitally on November 10, when it arrives on Apple TV and Prime Video.
The festival’s emphasis on bridging the gap between creators and viewers aligns perfectly with I Am A Fan’s mission.
“Movies and shows only come full circle when a fan hits play, tells a friend, and shows up,” said Jerry “J-Man” Joyner, co-founder of I Am A Fan. “That’s exactly what a festival like Addison Full Circle makes possible – putting independent storytellers in the same room as the people who’ll carry their work forward. We’re proud to be the title sponsor of its very first year and to help build something Addison can call its own.”
I Am A Fan’s platform allows audiences to browse film and TV projects and indicate which ones they’d watch, giving creators concrete data on audience interest that can shape development discussions.
Beyond INTO BLACK, the festival lineup includes other Texas-made narrative features and short films, offering local audiences a window into independent cinema and face-to-face encounters with the talent behind it.
