The second annual gathering unites fans, actors, and creators from August 21 to 23, featuring The Verties awards ceremony that honors vertical entertainment talent
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — With vertical entertainment gaining a rapidly expanding viewership on mobile devices, VertiCon: The Sequel is assembling the community behind the format for an in-person event.
Making its way back to Los Angeles from August 21 through 23 for its second annual edition, VertiCon will unite fans, actors, creators, and industry professionals at the Hilton Los Angeles Culver City for three days focused on the stories, characters, and performers fueling the rise of vertical entertainment.
Designed specifically for the expanding community around vertical storytelling, VertiCon takes an entertainment experience largely centered on the smartphone and brings it into a physical space.
Across the weekend, attendees can take part in live panels, Q&A sessions, meet-and-greets, autograph and photo opportunities, exclusive experiences, and conversations with actors and creators from across the vertical entertainment world.
Vertical micro-dramas are short-form, mobile-first series typically presented in a 9:16 portrait format and optimized for smartphone viewing. As the format has grown, so has the passionate fan base surrounding its shows, characters, and increasingly recognizable performers.
VertiCon offers a physical hub for that digital fandom, enabling audiences to connect with each other and meet the talent behind the stories they first discovered on their phones.
VertiCon: The Sequel will showcase a lineup of highly followed talent and presenters, including Ryan Larson, Erin Orcutt, Eric Guilmette, Jeff Violette, Cayman Cardiff, Rober Keefe, Alex Pychtin, Nick Ritacco, Brooke Moltrum, Shayne Davis, and Kirby Ellwood, with appearances and programming scheduled throughout the three-day convention.
Fans will have chances to connect directly with talent through panels, Q&As, meet-and-greets, autograph and photo opportunities, and other special experiences across the weekend.
The Verties Take Center Stage Saturday Night
The weekend will also feature The Verties on Saturday, August 22, a live awards ceremony recognizing the actors, writers, directors, producers, creators, and productions that are shaping the fast-growing vertical entertainment industry.
The Verties celebrates the human talent, performances, storytelling, craftsmanship, and creative collaboration behind the stories millions of viewers watch on their phones every day.
Unlike a conventional industry awards ceremony, The Verties brings creators and audiences together, giving fans the chance to celebrate alongside the actors and creators they follow while honoring the work happening both on screen and behind the scenes. The evening is designed not only to celebrate what vertical entertainment has become, but also the community of artists, storytellers, and fans helping to shape where the format goes next.
Cayman Cardiff and Dan Wolfgram will host The Verties, with musical performances by Riley Davis and Gabriella Graves.
The Verties — Saturday, August 22
Red Carpet: 6:30 p.m.
Doors Open: 7:45 p.m.
Awards Ceremony: 8:30 p.m.
What begins as a story watched individually on a phone becomes a shared experience at VertiCon; one built around connection, access, discovery, and the community growing alongside one of entertainment's emerging formats.
