Second-Quarter Revenue Climbs and Profit Soars 16-Fold; HHSE leadership describes this as the start of a major comeback for the 33-year-old independent media firm.

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, August 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — A five-decade-old hit tune has produced the first genuine audience success for independent distributor Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE). “Wildfire: The Legend of the Cherokee Ghost Horse” – a family-oriented feature inspired by Michael Martin Murphey’s number one worldwide song – has attracted streaming viewers across the globe and boosted the company’s earnings. Revenue for the three months ending June 30, 2026 rose to $485,290 compared to $99,730 for the same period a year earlier; net profit jumped to $400,810, eclipsing the $25,484 profit recorded in the quarter ended June 30, 2025 by more than 16 times.
“This marks only the first stage of a fresh revenue cycle for Hannover House,” said CEO Eric Parkinson. “International viewership of the film across streaming services keeps expanding and should generate steady growth in the coming quarters. Although we are pleased with the current activity for ‘Wildfire,’ we anticipate that the higher-profile productions now in development at Hannover House will eventually bring in many millions more in revenue.”
Current projects at Hannover House include the Oscar-caliber historical epic “The 17N Conspiracy,” which is based on the actual events of Greece’s democratic revolution in the 1970s. This major production is expected to serve as Hannover’s primary driver for revenue and awards recognition in 2027. Other upcoming works comprise the historical western “Indian Territory” and “Native Fables,” an anthology of short films with Native American themes. Following his 2025 horror-thriller “Unholy Song,” writer-director Arthur G. Night has teamed up with Hannover House for an ambitious Christmas thriller titled “Jolly,” currently in post-production and slated for a theatrical and streaming release later this year. Additionally, the company is in pre-production on a $22-million sci-fi adventure to be filmed in Malta called “Tempus Porta.”
Alongside Hannover House’s own feature productions, the firm will also roll out several acquired titles to theaters and streaming platforms. “Sinatra: Eternity,” acquired at Cannes from Crisis Cinema, chronicles Frank Sinatra’s life and career as prompted by a writer interviewing the legend. “Sexbot,” from writer-director Ash Baron-Cohen, is a comedy tailored for today’s technological era. Hannover House intends to launch a major theatrical campaign for that film around Valentine’s Day 2027.
The company will also promote the release of a political marketing book by best-selling author Barr McClellan starting next week. “American Manifesto: The Winning Campaign Strategies of President Donald J. Trump” offers an insider look at Team Trump’s operations in 2024, detailing how they crafted and executed a marketing plan to highlight voter hot-button issues and push Democratic party leaders into self-sabotage by taking the bait on unpopular wedge issues. McClellan considers the book essential reading for any campaign strategist, as the material provides insights into both effective and ineffective tactics for current and future political campaigns.
“Our latest results confirm that our business strategy works,” said Parkinson. “Our upcoming release slate will elevate us further in terms of revenue, assets, and profitability. We deeply appreciate the continued support of our shareholders and are thrilled to finally deliver the outcomes that will drive substantial growth in our stock value,” he added.
Hannover House was founded in 1993 as Truman Press, Inc., a specialty book publisher. Eric Parkinson acquired the company in 2002 and introduced DVDs to its product lineup. Within just three years, Hannover House became a top ten DVD supplier for Walmart Stores, Inc., also gaining notable market presence at Target, Best Buy, and thousands of other North American retail outlets. As the market shifted away from physical goods such as DVDs and Blu-rays, Hannover House began placing titles on streaming services, eventually establishing a working model for independent releases: a premium V.O.D. launch window followed by wide distribution through advertiser-supported V.O.D. providers (including Tubi and Roku). Higher-profile projects have also gained visibility and momentum from major theatrical release windows, which Hannover House expects to become its leading revenue source in 2027 for key features like “The 17N Conspiracy.”
Recently, Hannover House revived the Hemdale releasing brand—a company for which CEO Eric Parkinson served as a principal for many years. From 1967 until 1996, Hemdale was one of the most prolific producers and distributors of quality independent films, until its impressive library was sold to MGM-UA. Hemdale hits include “Terminator,” “Hoosiers,” “Criminal Law,” “Impromptu,” and Best Picture Academy Award winners “Platoon” and “The Last Emperor.” Hemdale also set multiple home video sales records, with chart-topping results for animated features “Magic Voyage,” “The Princess & The Goblin,” and “Little Nemo: Adventures In Slumberland.” Other Hemdale titles—such as “Savage Land,” “Future Shock,” and “Grizzly Mountain,” all written and produced by Eric Parkinson—became hugely popular rental videos. With Hannover now involved in higher-profile features, Parkinson said the timing felt right to bring back the Hemdale brand.
“We finally have Oscar-caliber projects again,” said Parkinson. “Producing and releasing these films under the Hemdale brand is a fitting tribute to the legacy of quality and socially meaningful content that Hemdale built.”
