The documentary ISKY has been launched by Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution arm of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, and is now available globally on digital HD internet, DVD, cable, and satellite platforms as of October 2, 2026.
ISKY explores the life of Ed “Isky” Iskenderian, a legendary forerunner in hot rodding, drag racing, land speed racing, and NASCAR. He not only elevated motorsport competition to new heights but also ignited an entire cultural movement. Recognized as a pioneer, engineering visionary, and promotional mastermind, Isky is widely regarded as the most influential person in American automotive performance engineering history. His signature cigar and smile are iconic worldwide. Even today, Isky’s impact continues to shape international motorsports and automotive culture globally. His advertising collaboration with drag‑racing legend Don Garlits established the modern framework for corporate sports sponsorship.
Observing Isky’s journey captures the essence of American ingenuity. He revolutionized camshaft design and, in the process, reshaped American culture. What began as a garage hobby grew into a $100 billion industry, transforming the entire nation through a genuine American automotive cultural revolution that persists to this day. A constant advocate for the human spirit, and thanks to his unmatched enthusiasm, curiosity, and promotional talent, Isky turned a scattered “hot rodder” hobby into a professionally recognized community. For the first time under his leadership, racers, builders, and manufacturers shared a national spotlight.
Cheyanne Kane wrote and directed ISKY, with Kerry Ann Enright and Cheyanne Kane producing. Executive producers are Dr. Jeffrey William Laham and Dave Smith. Battiste Fenwick served as director of photography, Marty Beller composed the original score, and Guy Shaham edited the film.
