Jason Lewis aims to uncover suppressed truths about the COVID-19 saga in a historical fiction movie, following the Fauci hearings

“State of Deception” underscores that truth carries a price—but also a mission.”— Former Congressman Jason LewisFT. MEYERS, FL, UNITED STATES, July 30, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Former Minnesota Congressman Jason Lewis is moving forward with “State of Deception,” a feature film offering a fresh viewpoint on the COVID-19 cover-up. With the latest Fauci hearings giving it renewed relevance, the project draws on his own experience as a U.S. Senate candidate when the pandemic hit. He contends the American public was misled by what he calls “possibly the greatest scandal in our nation’s history.”

“State of Deception” emphasizes that truth has a cost—and also a purpose. Away from the clamor of headlines, it is in the quiet, unobserved moments that character is tried, where integrity can rise above compromise and courage can surpass comfort.

“The movie intends to deliver essential context on COVID-era controversies, described as ‘House of Cards meets The Manchurian Candidate,’” Lewis stated.

During 2020 in Minnesota, rioters were permitted to destroy cities while the rest of the population was ordered to remain at home. Governor Tim Walz enacted some of the nation’s toughest COVID restrictions: singing in church was prohibited, Thanksgiving dinner gatherings were capped at ten people, and a “snitch line” allowed residents to anonymously report neighbors who violated stay-at-home orders and forced quarantines. Yet Lewis notes the larger issue is “how many people it hurt, and we haven’t even begun to uncover that.”

The film’s objective is not just to educate the public about the reality of the COVID scandal, but to let viewers grasp what might happen when doing what is right collides with a system built to block it.
