Attorney Jessica Ramirez leverages her legal expertise, personal story, and dedication to assisting others in her new position as law clerk for Adam’s Law
Everyday individuals. Real disputes. Genuine outcomes. Adam’s Law delivers a novel viewpoint to legal television when the new series, created by Judge Judy Sheindlin, makes its debut on September 14 at 3:30 p.m. EST on CBS. Jessica Ramirez joins the show as its law clerk, utilizing her legal background, life story, and enthusiasm for advocacy to provide understanding and context throughout the program.
For Ramirez, becoming part of Adam’s Law represents a logical progression of a life defined by resolve, civic duty, and a commitment to aiding others.
“I am excited about this opportunity to be part of Adam’s Law. I want to be an advocate for others and show them that dreams are possible. Judge Adam is fierce, honest, and dedicated to uncovering the real story. I am proud to be part of this because I am here to help usher in the voice of the people,” says Ramirez.
Ramirez’s individual experiences have influenced how she approaches advocacy and public service. Born in Puerto Rico, she relocated to the mainland United States as a child, arriving without English skills but driven to create a brighter future.
“I came to this country as a little girl unable to speak the language, but I was determined to make it somehow,” explains Ramirez. “My life is a testament to those who still believe in the American dream and the opportunities America has to offer.”
That perseverance eventually guided Ramirez into the fields of law, public service, and politics. An American attorney and former Democratic Party politician, she served as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing the 32nd Legislative District from 2024 to 2026. Over the course of her career, Ramirez has centered her work on advocacy and a wish to create a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
In her capacity as the show’s law clerk, Ramirez provides legal perspective, counsel, and her own viewpoint as discussions unfold. Her position also highlights the real-world experiences that underlie the legal questions and topics examined on the program.
“I want people to know that they matter,” says Ramirez. “If I can use my experiences to help someone feel seen, heard, or understood, then I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing.”
