Helmed and produced as an independent film project, Shallow Water centers on a young woman whose grip on reality grows more and more detached from her surroundings. As her internal world becomes increasingly dominant, the movie examines how memory, perception, and imagination can alter a person’s sense of what is real.
Rather than depending exclusively on typical thriller tropes, Shallow Water builds psychological tension through atmosphere, character viewpoint, and ambiguity.
