Prime 1 Studio unveils a new statue: Legacy Art “Noriyoshi Ohrai” Heisei Godzilla Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. Pre-orders begin August 21, 2026 (JST).
ASAKUSA, TAITO-KU, TOKYO, JAPAN, August 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Prime 1 Studio is delighted to debut the latest entry in the “Legacy Art” lineup: Noriyoshi Ohrai’s “Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.”
Debuting in 1991 as the second film of the Heisei Godzilla series, “Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah” showcased poster artwork created by illustrator Noriyoshi Ohrai. This statue, towering over 80 cm in height, brings that poster to life in three dimensions. It interprets Ohrai’s signature composition and color palette while expanding the artwork to include details not seen in the original illustration, such as the underside of King Ghidorah’s wings.
The statue retains the original illustration’s notable composition, leveraging differences in scale and perspective to heighten the visual impact. The dark blue-gray of Godzilla and the brilliant gold of King Ghidorah are carefully balanced, producing a strong contrast between the two figures. LED illumination is integrated into Godzilla’s dorsal fins, King Ghidorah’s Gravity Beams, and the missile exhaust effects.
Alternate heads for both Godzilla and King Ghidorah are provided as well, inspired by their on-screen appearances in the live-action film.
The Bonus Version comes with a Title Logo Stand, which can be placed next to the statue to enhance the presentation of the original theatrical poster.
