The Washington occult-noir audio drama returns, sending private investigator Torsten Somersby on the trail of a winged creature and a real Gilded Age brewmaster

Season 2 of Dupont Investigations, Flight of the Fallen, launches tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, streaming everywhere you listen to podcasts. Following a debut season that earned a spotlight from Washingtonian, Nocturne Hall revisits its 1936 Washington, known as the “District of Crime,” for a more ambitious and darker mystery.
In Flight of the Fallen, occult private investigator Torsten Somersby is hired by Christian Heurich, the famous brewmaster who—after the federal government—was Washington’s largest employer. Something has followed the old world into the new: a winged creature whose story begins in the Austrian Alps in 1861. As it preys on the city, Torsten and his partner Nigel Clemmons trace its path through the shadows of 1936 Washington, from Heurich’s Foggy Bottom brewery to the truth behind “the fallen.”
New listeners can start tonight. Season 1, The Scourge from Carthage, runs six episodes and has earned more than 24,500 IAB Tech Lab-certified downloads. Dupont Investigations is the brainchild of Washington, DC-based co-creators and showrunners Marc Benjamin Langston (he/him) and Bryce Bowyn (he/him). Langston is a long-form writer and an attorney. Bryce Bowyn is an electropop musician and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and mental health. Both creators are DC Arts and Humanities Fellows, recognized for their outstanding contributions to DC as a world-class cultural capital, for their fiction and popular-music work, respectively.
