Process enables organizations to evaluate AI quality and workflow fit using their own media
Media organizations weighing AI adoption face a familiar tension: they want the technology’s benefits without surrendering control of their content, infrastructure, or security policies. EMAM, Inc. is betting a structured, hands-on trial can resolve that tension — and it is now inviting customers to put its AssetMind platform through its paces using their own material.
The media asset management provider has announced the AssetMind Collaborative AI Pilot Program, a five-week engagement that pairs customers with EMAM’s applied AI team. Participants evaluate AssetMind on their own media and workflows, running the assessment either on-premises or in the cloud.

The program targets a broad cross-section of the market: broadcasters, media organizations, sports networks, government agencies, corporate media teams, and technology partners. Its aim is to let them gauge AI accuracy, workflow fit, infrastructure requirements, and costs ahead of any decision to move into production.
“Organizations want to use AI while maintaining control over their content, infrastructure, and security policies,” said David Miller, President of EMAM. “This collaborative pilot gives customers and our team a structured way to assess the quality, workflow fit, and infrastructure requirements of AssetMind using their own media.”
How the pilot works:
Participants work with EMAM to define use cases and acceptance criteria, review baseline results, and assess improvements following optimization and retesting. The evaluation considers the customer’s content and languages, along with processing capacity and costs, to compare with existing tools or manual work.
Customers provide representative media and subject-matter experts to score results. EMAM’s team deploys and operates the pilot environment, tunes the platform, and works with participants on a production readiness assessment. The customer determines whether the results meet the organization’s needs.
Evaluation options:
• Cloud evaluation: An Amazon EC2 deployment enables evaluation of AI output and user experience without an initial customer GPU hardware purchase. Participants supply representative media, relevant infrastructure, and feedback.
• On-premises pilot: Approved NVIDIA GB10, GB300, or RTX PRO 4500-class hardware, supplied by the customer or a partner, supports evaluation within the customer’s environment. This path assesses infrastructure suitability and workflow requirements for private, sovereign, or air-gapped production deployments.

About AssetMind
AssetMind by EMAM brings AI analysis and media workflows to the infrastructure where content resides. It supports on-premises and air-gapped deployments, with distributed processing through AssetMind nodes. AssetMind was previewed at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, with a production release planned for 2027.
Capabilities available for evaluation include:
• Transcription, multilingual translation, and automatic titles, summaries, metadata, and tags.
• Semantic search using text and visual embeddings, visual scene and object understanding, face detection, face clustering, and person identification.
• Media ingest, indexing, and AI-assisted workflow automation.
• Web-based editorial workflows.
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectivity.
• Archiving to NAS and local or S3-compatible storage, with media restoration and transfer.
AssetMind offers fixed software pricing to support predictable software costs. The pilot assesses infrastructure needs and production costs. If standard AssetMind models do not meet the agreed quality target, EMAM may evaluate specialized third-party models or partners, with quality, security, licensing, and incremental costs reviewed jointly before adoption.

Why it matters
For media teams under pressure to adopt AI, the hardest questions are rarely about features — they are about whether the technology holds up on real content and fits real security and infrastructure constraints. By letting customers score results on their own media before committing, EMAM is turning AI procurement into a measurable test rather than a leap of faith, with the customer, not the vendor, making the final call.
