Hulu docuseries probes influencer deaths tied to extreme biohacking guru

When a penis-enlargement influencer turns up dead in Thailand, and online sleuths start pointing fingers at a self-styled biohacking guru, the story becomes something far darker than just another internet scandal. That’s the chilling premise of Hulu’s newly announced docuseries, “Get Huge: Looksmaxxing to Death,” which promises to deliver an intimate psychological autopsy of male influencer culture in an era of extreme body modification and online performance.

The three-part series, premiering November 10 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S., as well as on Disney+ internationally, dives deep into the manosphere—an underground movement that claims it can unlock human potential through bulging muscles, enlarged penises, and even eternal youth.

At the center of this world is Dr. Tony Huge, a guru who pushes homemade biohacks on a devoted following willing to risk everything for his cause. When Leo & Longevity, a penis-enlargement expert and one of Tony’s closest allies, is found dead in Thailand, alpha-male influencers become online sleuths, running wild with theories and questioning Tony Huge and his right-hand man, Connor Murphy. Soon, a darker pattern emerges: Leo isn’t the first of the inner circle to die under mysterious circumstances. The question hangs in the air: Will he be the last?

Also worth a look: Prime 1 Studio opens pre-orders for $1,399 TEKKEN 8 Nina Williams statue on October 29 and Onwubiko Agozino’s new book teaches kids MLK’s compassion over hatred.

The docuseries is directed by Stacey Lee and produced by Boardwalk Pictures (“Welcome to Wrexham,” “aka Charlie Sheen”) and Hyperobject Industries (“Don’t Look Up,” “Stormbound”). Executive producers include Adam McKay and Todd Schulman for Hyperobject Industries, Andrew Fried, Lana Barkin, Jordan Wynn and Dane Lillegard for Boardwalk Pictures, William Crouse and Stacey Lee for Lovely Days, Jennings Brown for Nocturne, and Brett Neichin.

“Get Huge: Looksmaxxing to Death” joins Hulu’s growing slate of documentary programming, which includes “Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke,” “Betrayal: Dirty Secrets,” “The Swan: Behind the Mirror,” and “Swipe Right on the Devil.”

Why it matters: This series isn’t just another true-crime story—it’s a window into an online subculture where the pursuit of physical perfection can turn deadly. As social media continues to amplify extreme body ideals and dangerous self-experimentation, the deaths surrounding Dr. Tony Huge’s inner circle serve as a stark warning about what happens when influencers become the arbiters of health, masculinity, and life itself.
