The event is set for Mikki’s Speakeasy at 7700 West McNab Road in North Lauderdale, where attendees are encouraged to immerse themselves in 1980s culture and timeless entertainment. The evening will shine a spotlight on music icon DJ Mr. Mixx of 2 Live Crew, a trailblazing Miami hip-hop group that helped define Miami bass, Southern musical identity, and artistic expression, alongside singer John Minnis, the original voice behind the 80s freestyle classic ‘Diamond Girl.’
