A Victoria Wyeth Weekend is scheduled for August 7 through 9, 2026, at Napa Valley Museum of Art & Culture, also referred to as The MAC. This event is held alongside “The Wyeths: Three Generations | Works from the Bank of America Collection” and the companion show “My Andy: Photographs by Victoria Wyeth”. The weekend represents a seldom-seen West Coast visit from Victoria Wyeth, who is a photographer, author, educator, and the sole granddaughter of Andrew Wyeth.
Meanwhile, at Napa Valley Museum Yountville, referred to as NVMY, the Friday Night Film Series moves forward on August 14, 2026, featuring a 4K restored showing of the classic Hollywood film “Roman Holiday”, with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in the lead roles.
Collectively, these events underscore the expanding schedule of cultural programming at Napa Valley Museum’s two sites.
Wyeth Weekend at The MAC
The Victoria Wyeth Weekend provides a unique chance for attendees to explore the artwork and heritage of N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, and Jamie Wyeth through the lens of someone who has a direct familial connection.
Starting things off on Friday, August 7, at 5:00 p.m. is a Master Class paired with an after-hours wine reception at The MAC, featuring wines from Domaine Carneros. The evening kicks off with a guided tour of “My Andy: Photographs by Victoria Wyeth”, an exhibition showcasing personal family pictures of Andrew Wyeth, Betsy Wyeth, and other relatives, along with images tied to places that served as inspiration for several of the Wyeth family’s most iconic works.
Following the tour, Wyeth will conduct a Master Class that delves into artistic methods, historical background, and intimate family anecdotes related to pieces by the Wyeth artistic dynasty. The session will also cover paintings not included in the current exhibition, such as Andrew Wyeth’s “Christina’s World” and “Master Bedroom”. Visitors can ask for discussion of particular paintings if they give advance notice.
Tickets for the August 7 Master Class and wine reception include entry to “The Wyeths: Three Generations” exhibition. General admission is priced at $100, while member tickets cost $75.
Guided tours with Victoria Wyeth are set for Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. During these tours, Wyeth will provide commentary on specific works featured in “The Wyeths: Three Generations | Works from the Bank of America Collection”, in addition to her companion exhibition “My Andy”.
Tour tickets cover exhibition admission. General admission is $65, and member tickets are $40. Members are allowed to purchase one extra guest ticket at the member rate, with the exception of NVMY-only Legacy memberships.
Victoria Browning Wyeth works as a speaker, writer, curator, and educator who concentrates on the multi-generational creative legacy of the Wyeth family. Friday Night Film Series at NVMY
Napa Valley Museum Yountville’s Friday Night Films Series carries on Friday, August 14, 2026, with a presentation of “Roman Holiday”, a film starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, directed by William Wyler.
This Academy Award-winning 1953 film, shown in a 4K restoration, tells the story of a young princess who slips away from her royal duties to discover Rome on her own terms. There, she encounters an American journalist and finds herself torn between responsibility and love. The movie features Hepburn’s Oscar-winning performance, a screenplay by Dalton Trumbo, and costume design by Edith Head, which also won an Oscar. “Roman Holiday” continues to be one of the enduring romantic comedies from Hollywood’s Golden Age.
Attendees are welcome to arrive early to check out “Mary Blair: Mid-Century Magic”, explore the Museum Store, and buy snacks and drinks that support the Museum before the movie starts. A ticket to the film includes admission to the exhibition.
